چکیده
Currently used textile dyes are not highly toxic or carcinogenic, but the intense and persistent color of effluent is problematic. Of remediation processes investigated, adsorption process attractive, carbonaceous adsorbents (CAs) ideal for that purpose because their very high dye-binding capacity (DBC). In this review, potential biomass-based feedstocks to produce CAs application produced removal various types from have been compiled critically reviewed. The effect preparation conditions on surface area, porosity, pore volume, chemical characteristics has outlined discussed. DBC at optimum compiled, mechanisms, dye sorption isotherm models, stability adsorbents, regeneration methods analysis dye-adsorption data shows some derived biomasses composites considerably higher than commercially available activated carbon (AC) adsorbents. For example, a commercial AC (Filtrasorb-400) showed 400 mg/g C.I. Reactive Red 120 dye. Conversely, CS-DB adsorbent excellent anionic cationic Direct 28 Basic Green 4 dyes, 20317 12502 respectively. porous carbon/polyvinyl alcohol hydrogel GO/zeolitic imidazolate framework composite exhibited as 13381.6 3300 volume functional groups deciding factors in achieving adsorption.

A series of cellulose ampholytes (CAms), with substitution degrees of cationic groups (DSC) of 0.41, 0.79, and 1.08, and with a substitution degree of anionic groups of 0.68, was prepared from sodium carboxymethylcellulose by a cationization reaction with 2,3-epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride. The obtained CAms were crosslinked by ethyleneglycoldiglycidylether (EGDE) to obtain cellulose pol...
متن کاملAdsorption isotherms, kinetics and mechanism for the adsorption of cationic and anionic dyes onto carbonaceous particles prepared from Juglans regia shell biomass
In the present study, Juglans regia shells were used to prepare activated carbon by acid treatment method. J. regia shell-based activated carbon was used for the adsorption of two synthetic dyes namely, a basic dye malachite green and an acid dye amido black 10B. The prepared adsorbent was crushed and sieved to three different mesh sizes 100, 600 and 1,000 lm. The adsorbent was characterized by...

متن کاملRemoval of Anionic Brown 14 and Cationic Blue 41 dyes via Fenton Process
Textile wastewater contains a number of dyes which are known to be toxic and carcinogenic. In this study the results show that the Fenton (Fe2+/H2O2) process is an efficient method for the removal of Acid Brown 14 (A.BR14) and Cationic Blue 41 (C.B41) dyes from textile wastewater. In this method, two reagents Fe2+and H2O2 are used and do not require any additional energy. Several experiment...
